Dear Fellow Travelers,
I am pleased to introduce you to our company, Pair-A-Dice Trikes.
I have been in business since 2007 and specialize in trike conversions for most makes and models of motorcycles with close ties with the major trike and sidecar manufacturers.
I have personally been an avid rider for the last 40 years and a custom bike builder for the last 15. I enjoy riding, and have traveled across North America to visit several different trike manufacturers to find the best in the industry.
Safety, Dependability, Comfort and Ride are our primary prerequisites when choosing manufacturers.
California Sidecar, Roadsmith, Champion Trikes and Hannigan Motorsports are the manufacturers that have met our criteria in all aspects mentioned above. They all have many years of engineering behind them and produce safe, dependable products that center on riding comfort and handling at competitive prices.
Pair-A-Dice Trikes has been certified to assemble and install their products and is proud to have a solid reputation within the triking community.
I look forward to meeting you at a motorcycle/trike event near you and hope you to drop by our shop located centrally in Sunnybrook, Alberta to see what we have to offer.
The coffee is always on!

Here is a list of our most frequently asked online questions. If you don't see the answer to your question below, please give us a call at 780-789-1933 or access our Contact Options.
How Much Does a Trike Cost?
Trikes range in cost from the entry level approximately $9,000.00 to the Full on Touring Models with Complete Body Kits which can be up to $16,000.00 for a base conversion.
What is the difference between Bike and Trike?
When riding a bike you lean into corners, when riding a trike you steer around corners.
How does a Trike Ride and Handle?
There are a wide variety of online discussions on this topic. The best way to answer this question is to take one for a test drive. Although they are steered around corners rather than the regular lean around corners in the biker world, they still corner good and an experienced rider can keep up with bikes on those fun twisty curves. On a trike passing and meeting Highway tractors is less stressful than being on two wheels as you are no longer effected by the pushy gusts of wind. Trikes also stick well to wet ground, so let it rain if it must.
Does a Trike Kit Void My Warranty?
Any modification to the original motorcycle will void the factory warranty. However, most motorcycle dealers will look at the warranty issue and will honor the warranty if the problem has not been created by the addition of the trike kit.
How Long Does It Take To Build A Trike Kit?
It can take anywhere from 10 to 40+ hours to convert and option out a Trike. However depending on our clients needs, wants and desires, each case may be different. If there is a time line concerned, every effort is made to meet or exceed that deadline!
How long does it take to install a CSC trike kit?
We have streamlined our kit to be the quickest and easiest install in the market. At our factory we ask to keep the bike for three full days to complete an installation but it is typically done in two. The installation hours will vary depending on which options are purchased with the kit. Check with your nearest Authorized Dealer for more details.
Do You Build All The Trikes At Pair-A-Dice Trikes?
Some Trikes do come turn key, such as the Rewaco or some of the Victory Trikes, which are factory built. The rest are all converted and serviced at our shop.
Which Trike Kits Can You Put on My Bike?
We are currently a dealer for CSC (the only Alberta dealer for this product)., as well as Hannigan, Roadsmith, Champion and DMC. So a quick inquiry providing us with the details of your bike and we can provide you with all the model choices appropriate to your situation. Then the decision is yours.
What is the Power Trak and do I need to have it installed if I have a trike?
Adding any trike conversion will change the steering characteristics of your motorcycle. Our PowerTrak changes the fork angle and offset, reducing the trail which creates a power steering feel. The new trail is carefully tuned to prevent “wander”. It is optional, but it is highly recommended. A PowerTrak makes the trike easier to steer and maneuver, and more comfortable for the upper body.
Do I need a Park Brake kit for my trike?
U.S. regulations do not require a parking brake. Some other countries do require one, which is why we offer it as an option. It is also an extra measure of security for parking a trike on steep hills. Trikes left in gear or in reverse should keep the bike stationary under most conditions.
Can I convert back to a two-wheeler after I do a CSC Trike?
Yes, but you won’t want to after riding such an amazing trike! Seriously though, a trike conversion will almost always add more value to your motorcycle when the time comes to sell, so adding a trike kit is not only a great experience but a sound economic one as well. If you still want to convert back to two wheels, some of the OEM parts may have been modified during the installation depending on the model, but all can be replaced and all other original components will fit back on the motorcycle.
How can I test ride a trike before I buy one?
Come on down!
Do you offer different gear ratios with the trike kit?
Our trike units are designed to replicate the OEM final gear ratios in order to maintain compatibility with all OEM motorcycle functions. However, our Harley-Davidson models (Legend excluded) have a Performance Gearing option that reduces the final drive ratio by 10% for quicker acceleration and potentially longer clutch life.
Will a trike kit affect my fuel economy?
The impact on gas mileage depends on several factors, including the rider, style of riding, passengers or cargo weight, and geography. Some trike owners report negligible changes in fuel economy, while others may experience a 5-10% reduction. Order our optional Auxiliary Fuel Tank to increase your range.
Is there any welding involved in the installation?
No. It is a completely bolt-on installation.
Can I install the kit myself?
All CSC trike kits must be installed by one of their authorized factory trained dealers like Pair-A-Dice Trikes. Converting a motorcycle to a trike is an involved and fairly complicated procedure. Dealers are professional technicians that have the facilities and tools to do the best job possible. The safety and quality of trike installations is very important to both manufacturer and dealer and the CSC warranty requires consistent installation techniques and processes.
However, Roadsmith does allow self installation with their trike kits.
What Are The Benefits Of A Trike?
Just the FAQs
"On Thur. (Oct 2), was the first time Marvin and I have had a chance to test out the Trike since all the work was done.
Marvin was very pleased, loved how it was handling, purred like a kitten, and guess what no more thuds on the right side when hitting a bump. Compliments to the mechanic! Just wanted to drop you a line to once again say thank you for your great workmanship and that we are both very pleased with the Trike, we have a brand new trike again.
Hope you have a great fall and winter, see you at the Bike Show in January 2015.
Once again, everything greatly appreciated that you have done for us."

"Two years ago, a good family friend and owner of a California Side Car (CSC) trike, introduced my wife and I to the Goldwing Cobra kit. After hearing about the comfort level and reliability of his machine as well as the outstanding support he was getting from Pair-A-Dice Trikes, we decided to meet with Richard Ipsen. We were for the most part undecided about getting our Goldwing converted. After a couple of hours talking with Richard, it was his enthusiasm, confidence in, and knowledge of, the CSC line that was a determining factor for my wife and I for signing on the dotted line. He impressed us with his thorough knowledge of the CSC line and answered all the questions we had in a way easily understood by my wife and I. There are several kits available on the market today that will trike up a Goldwing, but it takes a dedicated, experienced and knowledgeable technician to make the magic happen. Through our conversations with Richard it became obvious that he was all of the above and to top it off, he’s the owner. This means that as an experienced technician he ensures your ride is in tip top condition and as the owner, he can ensure excellent customer service to promote his business. As it turned out, our confidence in Richard’s knowledge and experience paid off. During the conversion process he came across several hidden problems (motorcycle related not kit related), some with the potential for catastrophic results. Richard contacted us with an update keeping us apprised of what he found. For every deficiency he brought forward he had solutions. Some decisions were no brainer. Other decision had pro’s and con’s and Richard quickly offered recommendations based his experience and knowledge. The decision was always ours to make.
From paper building and selecting options until the final reveal, we are glad we selected Richard Ipsen and Pair-A-Dice Trikes to carry out this conversion. Even if this experience can be nerve racking and exciting at the same time, we feel that with Richard at the helm, we will get a safe, reliable and great looking ride that we will be able to enjoy for years to come."

Richard always has time to see me about the trike, whether it’s just and oil & filter change first thing in the spring or hints to improve the look of the trike. The whole attitude of the shop is open & inviting.
Thanks Richard & Staff

"I was pushed into the fixing of a bike because of certain circumstances, that being said, Richard looked after my first bike with baby gloves. I was completely happy with the end result. My second bike, he handled it with baby gloves also. Very, very pleased with his talent, personality and knowledge. I have recommended lots of people go to see him. Thanks again."
